Greg Guler, character designer for the original TV series, and Stephanie Lostimolo produced the cover art for each issue. Slave Labor acknowledged this error, and the corrected issue was reprinted on November 14. Issue #6 contained an error: the artwork on page 12 and 16 was switched, even though the text is correct. After an extended delay, Gargoyles #2 was released on December 13, 2006. Gargoyles #1 was released on Jand promptly sold out, ensuring a second printing. In June 2005, it was announced that a series of Disney-licensed, bi-monthly Gargoyles comic books would be created by Slave Labor Graphics in association with CreatureComics.
Issue #10 was the first issue set in 1997. Weisman has confirmed that the comic starts in 1996, just after the conclusion of the final episode of the series' second season. The first two issues of the comic translate the only third season ( The Goliath Chronicles) episode Weisman considers to be canon, " The Journey" (which he wrote), with issue #3 beginning the new storyline. Demona (Issue #6) will be featured on the cover of future issues of this action figure variant cover series.The continuation of the animated series, which picks up after the climactic three-part series finale, " Hunter's Moon", at the end of the second season. Bronx looks just like the recent Gargoyles Ultimate release from NECA. Bronx stars on the cover of Gargoyles #5. The other Dynamite Comics Gargoyles variant cover that I am collecting are the action figure covers by Brent Schoonover and Alberto Silver. I also opted for the black and white and metal premium editions. This is my favorite cover of this comic series so far. The flashlight shine effect is really well done. It is great to see Elisa Maza features on the cover, and let’s be honest she looks absolutely gorgeous here. Meanwhile, Dino Dracon’s plans proceed apace…ĭavid Nakayama’s cover for this issue features Elisa Maza and a chained Goliath who was captured last issue. Determined to rescue Goliath, Brooklyn takes command of the Clan. Goliath – prisoner! Hudson is forced to stand down as Goliath is captured and taken away.
